Turkey has a umber of very rugged mountain chains including the
Taurus Mountains, a limestone group on the southern coast which
is made up of a complex system of spires, peaks and ridges with
a mystical beauty. Our trek through the spectacular scenery of
the Aladaglar region of the Taurus Mountains takes us not only
close to the three highest peaks of the range, including Mt.Demirkazik
(3756m), Mt.Kizilkaya (3723m) and Mt.Embler (3623m), but into
areas seldom visited before, except by families of nomads who
use the remote canyons and high valleys for pasture during the
summer. On our trekking route, the stepp-sided canyons and high
rock walls rise up from relatively low valleys giving the scenery
a splendour and dramatic impact unique to this area. In this trip
you will also find the opportunity to have a beach holiday on
the Mediterranian and Eagean coasts of Turkey.
ITINERARY
Day 1 - ISTANBUL (or ANKARA)
Arrival at Istanbul, transfer to the hotel and overnight. (D)
Day 2 - ISTANBUL / ANKARA / CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Ankara.
Drive to Cappadocia, half day trekking. Overnight at the hotel.

Full day trekking and sightseeing tour of Cappadocia. Overnight
at the hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 4 - CAPPADOCIA / ALADAG RANGE
Drive to Cukurbag Village, visitting Derinkuyu on the way. Overnight
at the village. (B.L.D.)
Day 5/10 - ALADAG RANGE
Six days trekking on the Aladag range, starting from Cukurbag
Village, arriving at Barazama Village, via Seven Lakes plateau
and climbing to the summit of Ember 3716 m. (crossing from north
to south). Transportation of equipments by pack animals to the
camp sites. Overnights at the camps. (B.L.D.)
Day 11 - ALADAG RANGE / SULTANSAZLIGI
Departure from Barazama Village to Sultansazligi (paradise of
birds). Overnight at the hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 12 - SULTANSAZLIGI / ANKARA (or ISTANBUL)
Drive from Sultansazligi to Ankara (flight to Istanbul). Transfer
to the hotel and overnight. (B.L.D.)
Day 13 - ISTANBUL (or ANKARA)
Full day sightseeing tour of the city. Overnight at the hotel.
