Born in Kayseri in 1959, in a small village near Mounth Erciyes (Argeus).
I began mountain climbing in 1976 and studied in Kayseri, gaining his qualifications in mountain climbing and trekking under the expert tuition of Dr.Bozkurt Ergör, the president of the Turkish Mountaineering Federation, and pioneer of the first winter expedition on Mount Ararat.
Between the years of 1979-1984 I worked as an Instructor for the Turkish Mountaineering Federation.
In 1982, I was awarded with the Diploma of Mountain Guiding, as a graduate of the first generation of mountain guides in Turkey.
I have climbed all the Turkish mountains,
both in summer and winter, my favourite climb is Mount
Ararat, which I climbed more than a hundered times.
First time was as a member of the fourth ever winter climbing
team. From 1984-1990 I took more than 1500 people to the
pick of Ararat. I have also guided "The Noah Ark Search
Expeditions of 1982-1990"
Also as a credit the first ever climb of the east face of Demirkazik (3490 m) achieved in july 1987.
I widely travelled, and climbed the Alps of France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
I have also guided the D.A.V., C.A.I., C.A.S., C.A.F. and
received my Diploma of Culture and History in 1993. My other
interests include trekking, cycling, white water rafting,
bird watching and photography. I enjoy the outdoor lifestyle
and speak English fluently. |
